“Ek sal nou” – A promise… kinda.

What started as a running joke in our home has become a brand that captures the chaos, charm, and comfort of everyday life. “Sal nou” – the famous words my husband says whenever I ask him to do something. Whether it’s bringing me water or fixing that one thing in the house, the answer is always “Sal nou.” It’s a phrase that now lives rent-free in our lives… so much so that I’ve even started saying it too.

It’s never clear if “nou” means five minutes or five months—but hey, we’ve learned to laugh about it.
